Portlebay UK Slackline Open 2013 from Maverick Slacklines on Vimeo.
Spent a weekend down in Bournemouth shooting with D2 for the UK Maverick slackline open 2013.
The quad-copter made an appearance too, but had a few technical difficulties flying inside… More info on this and pictures from the weekend after the break..
On the beach one evening. This 90+ meter slackline was by far the biggest I had seen. A couple of people made it all way along. The quad capturing some shots in this picture.
First time I’ve used one of these shoulder mounts, they’re very effective.
The D2 gear.
As mentioned above, I had some strange issues flying inside. On the first take off I noticed that the quad wanted to fly forward and rotate to the left. I thought I could be a malfunction with it so I took it outside and the problem stopped. I tried to fly it again inside (above an area that was free of people) but I noticed the problem again. I figured it was due to all the electric interference in the building. I didn’t want to risk it any further so only really captured a few shots.
The level these guys are at is pretty impressive.
The team.
