Today marks 1000 days of taking a photo every day. I have been using the online service ShutterCal to upload and store the images since 01.01.2011. To celebrate this mile stone I wanted to do something a little special.. We ended up buying two king size bed sheets and 5L of petrol.

Bags ready for the mission.
Setting up on the old foundations of a factory. Found a barrel to elevate the camera.
The windy was a little gusty so we held down the numbers with rocks. The embers here being blown away.
Aerial shot. Thanks to Simon, Alex and Woody for the help.
It’s been an interesting journey up to this point. Although I don’t write a summery of the day any more and I’m a bit slack on the frequency of updating the site, I still enjoy having and maintaining this record. I love occasionally looking back through and being able to remember exactly what I did on that particular day, also seeing the progression of my photography and style over time… actually it’s rather surreal.
I highly recommend giving it a go, just make sure you find a system to make it as easy as possible or it will become a hassle and you will stop 🙂
Enjoy.
