Klingatron | Nottingham Billboard Takeover from Rob Antill on Vimeo.

Above is the result of a project me and Klingatron have been talking about doing for the past 8 months or so. He is a stencil artist based up in Glasgow, I love the work he does and thought it would be awesome to document the process of him installing one of his pieces.

The first challenge was thinking of a suitable spot for James to work on. I had a few places in mind where I’d seen graffiti in Nottingham. Then I remembered the billboard on Huntington Street. For some reason there was always a piece of work up there. I thought this would be ideal!

Alex (who was a big help throughout this process) went to the local graff (Montana) shop in town and asked about the billboard. They said it was owned by Switch Studios. James got in contact and arranged a date to come down…

Its worth noting we got extremely lucky with the weather over the three days. Not a single drop of rain and blaring sun. The stars had aligned.
